A business graduate from Curtin University, with a Fellowship of the Australasian College of Health Service Managers, Philip has worked extensively in senior management and leadership positions in Health in the metropolitan and rural areas, both in health services and key positions within the Health Department.

He is a Director of the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and the Telethon Speech and Hearing Centre and is currently a State Branch Councillor of the Australasian College of Health Service Managers. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Philip is an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University.

He is currently the Chief Executive of the Child & Adolescent Health Service, which incorporates Princess Margaret Hospital and is a member of the Western Australian State Health Executive.
