Capital Campaign

Telethon Speech & Hearing assists over 10,700 children and their families in Western Australia through a range of programs and services. The Centre has experienced a large period of growth in recent years, for example:

  • Screening 11,000 newborns in maternity hospitals through the WISH program in 2011, up from 5800 babies in 2008.
  • Screening 6,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children through the Earbus program, up from 2,200 in 2008.
  • Cochlear implants for local and overseas children
  • Development of University of WA Audiology clinic to train Masters degree students in Clinical Audiology

To meet this doubling of demand for services, a three stage Capital Campaign was put in place.
