LIBRARY services

Telethon Speech & Hearing consists of three different libraries:

The Handa Centre also known as  ‘The Professional Library’ located in the Board-Room of the Telethon Speech and Hearing Centre and includes books, journals, assessments and manuals specializing in hearing and speech impediments, education, psychology, and occupational therapy. The library acts as an aid to teachers and parents to expand their knowledge and have easy access to latest information in their area of interest.

The Jill Reid Children’s Library soon to be located in the Bill and Rhonda Wyllie Early Childhood Learning Centre encourages weekly visits from the Chatterbox Kindergarten Group and Talkabout 4s and 5s. Gives the opportunity for the children to borrow books, learn basic library skills and listen to story-telling sessions.

The Toy Library holds games, toys, puzzles and play sets. Equipment is only available to staff but can be flexible to suit parents’ needs.

Library hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9.00 am to 3:15 pm. Julie Cox (Librarian) can be contacted on 9387 9815 or by email jcox@tsh.org.au.
