After facing more hardship in his two years than most people would expect in a lifetime, Zavier Hansord has been given an early Christmas present - being able to hear again.
His wonderstruck eyes said it all this week when The Weekend West captured him minutes after two cochlear implants were switched on, restoring the hearing he lost several weeks ago after developing meningitis.
