Bursary Support
With the generous support of the Hearing Foundation, Telethon Speech & Hearing continues to offer bursaries to families whose children need to access our early intervention hearing impaired or speech and language delay programs.
Bursaries ensure partial fee relief for your child to attend our early intervention program for up to a year and are means tested.

Scholarships
Scholarships are provided through a range of generous donors to ensure finances are not a barrier to enter Telethon Speech & Hearing’s early intervention hearing impaired or speech and language delay programs. Scholarships enable your child to attend our early intervention program for up to a year and can provide partial or full fee relief.*
Many of our supporters like to engage with the scholarship recipients through a yearly morning tea and request to be informed of the impact of their support. Telethon Speech & Hearing encourages all prospective scholarship recipients to complete the attached consent form to help us streamline your application process.

Scholarships List 2021
McCusker Foundation-Telethon Scholarship – Open
The McCusker Foundation Scholarship was established in 2018 through the generous support of The Honorable Malcom McCusker and Tonya McCusker AM.
Ten scholarships are awarded to provide financial support to children through our early intervention programs, who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend our learning programs which are critical in their development, so they can have the most fulfilled lives possible.
Perth Airport Scholarship – Open
Serving as the gateway to WA and acting as Perth’s largest domestic and international airport. The Perth Airport Scholarships were established in 2018.
The purpose of the scholarships is to ensure that families in need of financial support to enable their children to attend our early intervention programs do not go without the critical help they need for their child’s development.
These scholarships are specific for families within the geographical regions of the City of Swan, Canning, Belmont and Kalamunda.
Tomasi Family Scholarships – Open
Frank and Atilia Tomasi have had a long association with Telethon Speech & Hearing. Their grandson was enrolled in the Talkabout program. This scholarship is named in memory of Frank’s wife, Atilia. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial support to children in TSH’s early intervention programs, ensuring they have access to the best support in their most critical years of early development.
Stan Perron Charitable Trust Scholarship – Open
The Stan Perron Scholarship is a scholarship in memory of Vale Stan Perron. The scholarship recognises the Perron family’s long-term support and philanthropy to Telethon Speech & Hearing. Through the Stan Perron Charitable Trust , ten scholarships have been awarded to provide financial support to children to attend our early intervention programs, who may not otherwise be able to attend due to financial circumstances.

Michelle Jamieson Local Community Hero Scholarship-Acknowledging the amazing work of TSH’s long serving and inspirational Family Liaison Officer.
