Telethon Speech & Hearing (TSH) has appointed Dr Tim Cooney and Mr Jeremy Rigg to its Board.
Dr Tim Cooney, one of Perth’s leading Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeons, is based in Subiaco and practises at a number of Perth locations including PMH, and St John of God. He is highly regarded within the Australian medical community.
In accepting the appointment, Dr Cooney said that he was excited about the opportunity to work with the TSH Board.
“TSH is an iconic organisation in Western Australia which, for over 50 years, has supported thousands of children and families with their hearing, speech and language needs ,” he said.
Mr Jeremy Rigg, Associate Director, Risk and Legal at The University of Western Australia, has over 18 years’ experience as a senior professional adviser across many sectors, including healthcare, financial services and higher education, with governance experience in both the private and not-for-profit sectors.
Telethon Speech and Hearing Chair, Professor Gary Martin, welcomed the appointments.
“Tim and Jeremy both bring a wealth of experience in their respective areas of expertise,” he said.
“Their skills and knowledge will further enhance our collective Board expertise and will strengthen our capacity to support families across Western Australia with their hearing, speech and language needs.”
Dr Cooney and Mr Rigg join current TSH Directors Gary Martin Andrea Burns, Richard Duldig, Anna Gelavis, Peter Marcakis, Olivier Marion, Dianne Symonds, Daniel White and Rae Wyatt.
