Subiaco Primary students are hoping to retain their crowns as Kings and Queens of the water as they aim for a hat-trick of Swim Thru Perth wins.
The school has taken out the award for most primary school participants in the 250m event at Swim Thru Perth two years in a row.
Swim Thru Perth event co-ordinator Elena Nesci said that while Subiaco Primary School may be leading the pack, the recent announcement of Channel 7 sports presenter Adrian Barich as master of ceremonies of the event has other schools across Western Australia eager to drive Subiaco off the podium.
Maintaining a high prize pool for all races has also raised interest for the Swim.
“Our top prize for 3.5km male and female winners remains at $500, while the school with the most registrations will win $250,” Ms Nesci said.
The Swim Thru Perth, proudly presented by Nigel Satterley AM is set to return on Sunday, 19th January 2020. Enter online at www.swimthruperth.org
