Volunteers Wanted: Community Cinemas

Do you want to help kids in need? Or are you looking for something different to do this Summer?

If you can cook a mean sausage or can’t resist the allure of wearing a fluoro vest, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Telethon Speech & Hearing is delighted to be one the charities selected who will directly benefit from money raised this Summer at Telethon Community Cinemas (TCC).

By volunteering for TCC, you will help hundreds of children and families who attend our centre each year for their speech, hearing and language needs.

We ask that volunteers commit to only 10 shifts over the season.  This roughly works out to one night a week every fortnight throughout the full season. You can even contribute one night a week every week!

The list of benefits for volunteering to you include:

  • Help improve the quality of life of children in crisis
  • Make friends, meet new people
  • Learn new skills, gain work experience
  • Help build community spirit
  • Get out of the house
  • Add charity work to your resume & LinkedIn profile

To register your support and help make a world of difference to children and families at TSH, please click here: Telethon7 Community Cinemas: Become a Volunteer.

After you have registered as a volunteer, please email Belinda Leksas at bleksas@tsh.org.au.

For more information about what’s involved with being a volunteer for TCC, please visit the TCC website.

Please share this with your network, work colleagues and friends. This is a great opportunity to give back to your community and maybe do it with a friend or two.
