WA Parliament: Get LOUD! | Telethon Speech & Hearing

WA Parliament prepares to Get LOUD!

Today, the WA Labor Party prepared to Get LOUD! in support of WA children impacted by hearing, speech and language impairments.

2017 Get LOUD! ambassador Oliver Webb, 2 years, presented commemorative pins to the WA Labor Party, whose members will hold a morning tea on 14 September to help raise awareness of the Get LOUD! campaign.

Oliver is diagnosed with permament progressive bilateral hearing loss, which was picked up through a newborn hearing screening performed by Telethon Speech & Hearing a few days after birth. He currently receives intensive therapy in the organisation’s early intervention program for babies and young children with hearing loss.

Cassie Rowe MLA, Caucus Secretary of the State Parliamentary Labor Party will accept the pins on behalf of the WA Labor party.

“We are delighted to be supporting the Telethon Speech & Hearing initiative Get LOUD! which provides vital services to children across WA, such as early intervention programs, occupational therapy support and one on one speech pathology assistance in the classroom,” said Rowe.

“This is a wonderful program and we are pleased to be supporting Get LOUD!”
