What is speech therapy?

Speech therapy (or speech pathology) supports children’s communication skills, including speech, language, and social interaction.

You will be sent a form to please complete before the call, it’s a helpful way to think about your child’s development and any specific concerns or questions you’d like to discuss. If you don’t get time to fill out the form before the call, you can fill it out on the call with the speech pathologist. 

No – this consultation is for parents and caregivers, so your child does not need to be on the call.

If appropriate, we may recommend a formal speech assessment or speech therapy and help you take the next steps. If a suitable therapist is not immediately available, your child can be placed on a waitlist.
