- Use fewer words than expected for their age in English or another first language?

What parents say about Talkabout
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Speech is how we say sounds and words. It includes how we produce the sounds in words, how fluently we are able to speak, and using our voice appropriately. Learn more about speech therapy.
Language refers to the words we understand and use, and how we use them to share ideas and get what we want. This includes our vocabulary, ability to join words to form phrases and sentences, and grammar. As children get older, they also begin to join sentences to have a conversation and tell a story or explain something. This is called discourse.
We offer various funding options, including NDIS support. Our team can guide you through available funding pathways during your initial consultation.
Our experienced team will assess your child’s specific needs and recommend the most appropriate group based on their age, development stage, and communication goals.
Each child’s journey is unique. Some children attend for several terms, while others benefit from multiple years of support. We regularly review progress and adjust recommendations based on your child’s development.
Parents and caregivers are essential partners in their child’s success. In Talkabout 2 early intervnetion and Talkabaout 3 pre-kindergarten, these pWe provide regular updates, home practice activities, and parent education sessions to help you support your child’s communication development at home.
Talkabout programs are currently available at our Wembley location and the Satellite Classrooms at four schools in the wider metro area.
