Workplace Giving Program

What is Workplace Giving?

The TSH Workplace Giving program gives you the opportunity to donate to a meaningful cause through pre-tax salary deductions. For example, if you donate $20, it will only cost you $12.60* but TSH will receive the full $20 donation.

Workplace giving is designed for employees to make small, regular financial donations from their pre-tax pay. It’s simple, extremely effective and entirely up to you how much you’d like to give. Your employer can also choose to boost the impact of your workplace giving donation by matching your contribution. Speak to your employer about boosting your giving by matching your gift.

Making small, regular donations to TSH provides an easy way for you to change the lives of children in our programs who are born with hearing loss and require ongoing speech therapy and hearing support.

*Figures are dependent on the individual’s ATO personal tax bracket.

Need help?

If your workplace doesn’t currently have a Workplace Giving program, consider registering with Good2Give or Benevity, both platforms make payroll giving simple and secure. TSH is available on both platforms.

Your support helps ensure no child is left behind in learning to hear, speak, connect, and thrive.

Thank you for making a lasting difference in the lives of children and families across Western Australia.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Workplace Giving (or Payroll Giving) allows employees to donate to TSH (Teach, Speak, Hear) directly from your pay before tax is calculated.

To donate, speak to your payroll officer about deducting your gift from your salary and paying it directly to TSH.

When you make a Workplace Giving donation, you receive an automatic tax benefit. Your donation is deducted from your pre-tax income, so you pay less tax.

At the end of the financial year, your employer will include the total amount you donated in your payment summary. You don’t have to worry about direct debits or credit card payments, or the receipts when you need them at tax time.

It also feels good knowing you’re donating to WA kids that need additional support.

TSH is a registered charity that relies on the financial support of donors like you, to deliver life changing services to children across WA who face speech, hearing, language and developmental challenges.

Through Workplace Giving, you can help TSH fund early intervention programs, speech and occupational therapy, hearing services and family support. These services give children the best possible start in life, helping them to listen, speak, learn and thrive.

Setting up your regular donations from your pay is quite easy:

  1. Ask your employer to enter a Workplace Giving arrangement with TSH.
  2. Nominate TSH as your preferred charity.
  3. Inform your employer that you wish to make a regular donation (for example weekly, fortnightly, monthly or whenever you are paid) and the amount you wish to donate. They will make the payment directly to TSH on your behalf.

At the end of the financial year, your employer will include the amount that has been deducted from your pay and donated to TSH, in your annual payment summary.

If your workplace doesn’t offer a Workplace Giving program, please download the form here and speak to your HR manager or payroll department about setting one up, so that you and your colleagues, can together support the charity TSH.

Your Workplace Giving registration won’t transfer to your new job, so you’ll need to set up your donation again with your new employer.

If your new workplace doesn’t offer a giving program, and if they aren’t willing to do so, you can still support us by becoming a regular giver. Please note that these donations aren’t deducted before tax.
